CISCE Regional Karate Championship 2023

As rightly quoted by Sensei Valeri Dimitrov ‘to accept karate not as a sport but as an art, only in this way you can train it your whole life.’

The 3 day CISCE REGIONAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2022, hosted by N. L. Dalmia High School which commenced on the 2nd August and continued till the 4th August, was no less than a feast to the eyes.

Day 1 of the tournament began with the inauguration ceremony. The esteemed Hanshi Vispy Kapadia- founder of all India Gojukai Karate-Do, graced the event with his presence along with other dignitaries who were welcomed and addressed by our Principal and CEO Dr. Seema Saini. The competition set about with the U-14 Boys category ranging from less than 20 Kg to more than 60 kg. Every participant exhibited vigour while competing for the title. It was indeed an excellent start to what day 2 and 3 had to offer.

Day 2 continued with the same ardour. The U-14, U-17 and U-19 Girls tournament witnessed massive participation in the less than 18 Kg to more than 68 Kg category. It is needless to say that every participant put their best foot forward and fought tooth and nail for the title.

Day 3 was welcomed with a lot of zeal by the U- 17 to U-19 Boys from less than 35 Kg to more than 82 Kg category. The true fighting spirit of the participants kept the referees on their toes all throughout.

The 3 day tournament was nothing less than a sheer display of composure, clear though process, deep insight, self- confidence, stamina and every benefit that karate has to offer.

The closing ceremony welcomed the dignitaries. The gathering was addressed with a message by the Principal Dr. Seema Saini and Hansi Vispy Kapadia Sir. Individual prizes, Overall Championship trophy, Runners up trophy and the announcement of the National team brought about a perfect end to this spectacular event.

David walker rightly mentioned ‘Karate is not about winning over others. It is about winning over one’s self.’
