NIRMAAN – Science, Art & Craft Exhibition 2023-24
Reality is for people who lack imagination and imagination is the beginning of creation. Traversing this multifariousness, the young minds of N. L. Dalmia High School, showcased an exemplary convergence of science, art and craft colliding under the beguile theme of “Reimagining Reality”, as a part of the ‘The Nirmaan Exhibition’ – 2023, which was an idiosyncratic blend of disciplines and an exemplification to the rich tapestry of human inventiveness, which is unfathomable.
The program kickstarted with the inauguration by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the school toppers.
The CEO and Principal, Dr. Seema Saini addressed the audience with her enriching words. The highlight of the inauguration ceremony was the speech by our ICSE topper Ms. Mihika Khadloya and ISC topper Ms. Priya Bothra, who were also the guests of honour, thereby motivating the young Dalmians with their inspiring words. The presence of our esteemed guests from Netherlands added an international flair to our celebration, symbolizing the global connections that we at N. L. Dalmia High School foster within the walls of our educational home.
The exhibition showcased a plethora of projects, ranging from exploring the cosmos to reaching the stars, experiencing elemental alchemy, unraveling the Carolina of blue, decoding the essence of nature and exploring the warmth of cardinal; and these are just a few to name. The health fitness zone by grade 3 and the clay workshop by the grade 5 students clearly defined the diversity, the exhibition had to offer.
The projects exhibited by the secondary students explored virtual and augmented reality along with cutting edge technologies. Our students demonstrated application in education, health care and entertainment, highlighting the potential impact of the same on the future.
Our ISC section displayed projects which explored the possible future of humanity in space and how the sustainable utilization and extraction of the cosmic resources will shape our lifestyle in the coming years.
The collaborative nature of the projects by students from different grades, the ability to combine their skills in programing, designing, creating content and fostering a sense of teamwork and interdisciplinary learning was truly outstanding.
The Science exhibition on ‘Reimaging Reality’ was a resounding success, showcasing imaginative and technological prowess of our students. The event not only highlighted the current capabilities of ‘AI’ and ‘Science’ but also sparked conversations about their future applications and impact on various aspects of our life.
The intelligent use of science and technology, and the expressiveness of art and craft are the tools to achieve new directions.
Exploring this diversity, the young brains of N. L. Dalmia High School showcased an intersection of the stream of Science, Commerce and Humanities and its multidisciplinary approach.
Returning to our regular lifestyle after the period of online sojourn, N. L. Dalmia High School is all rejuvenated and recharged to showcase the wonder of knowledge; the Nirmaan Exhibition, 2022. The days 19th and 20th November were innovative experimental days for all the students.
The Nirmaan of 2022 gave a perfect example of the interdisciplinary approach of education where science, art, music, dance coalesced together to bring out the best.
The Nirmaan Exhibition of 2022, ‘Confluence of Knowledge’, wrapped around the fast paced art, architecture, textile design and digital media.

Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine when you desire. You will what you imagine and at last you create what you will. This journey of imagination unveiled the plethora of knowledge of the young minds of N. L. Dalmia where the different subjects fused together to bring forth the most innovative creation of all.
With a footfall of nearly 10,000, Nirmaan Exhibition was truly a success. It provided a platform for the students to use their scientific knowledge and bring the best invention from their brains. The synthesis of ideas and galvanising those ideas to bring something innovative into implementation is the main aim of the exhibition. Science begins with wonder, scientific temperament and rational thinking. This Nirmaan exhibition made our students more confident, creative, future-ready and learners for life.
Abraham Lincoln rightly said “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” The future clearly depends on what you do today.
With the intention to promote 100% participation, hands-on learning and bringing out the hidden talent of the students along with a focus on creating more awareness of science, technology, engineering and Art, the School organizes Nirmaan Exhibition every year.
Keeping this in mind we at N. L. Dalmia High School proudly inaugurated the spectacular Science, Art and Craft Exhibition – ‘Nirmaan’ on 24th December, 2021 with a practical, thoughtful and a very apt theme ‘Vistas of Career’.
The pandemic could not mar the vehemence of the School. The virtual Science, Art and Craft Exhibition was held with gaiety and fervour. The formal Programme commenced with the formal ribbon cutting followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the ICSE Topper Ms Riva Singh and CEO and Principal of N. L. Dalmia High School, Dr. Seema Saini.
Students all across the School were geared up to showcase the working models highlighting all the new opportunities open to the youth today. While some of the Career opportunities we were well acquainted with, some clearly surprised us.

All the exhibits were indeed impressive and showcased the passion and hard work of the students to present something that is beyond art.

“NIRMAAN”, the much-awaited Annual Science, Art and Craft Exhibition (2018-2019) was organized at the School campus with great pomp and show. The two day-long exhibition was held on 1st and 2nd December 2018 which attracted visitors on both the days with its array of innovative and incredible exhibits this year based on the theme “Imagine, Innovate, Inspire.”
Right from the school atrium, to mezzanine floors, corridors and class rooms, every nook and corner looked stunning with vibrant, colorful and eye-catching decorations. Students from Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary and ISC Sections participated in the event with great enthusiasm. They came up with very innovative and intriguing Science, Art and Craft projects working under the able guidance of their class teachers and parents, who worked in synergy to help ignite the creative potential of young minds. All the working and non-working models and projects were developed completely in sync with the theme of the event.
The exhibition was a huge success and was exceptionally praised for its display of outstanding exhibits of enviable grandeur. Enthusiasm and effervescence overflowed amongst students of all sections and created an aura of jubilation.
We Dalmians hosted another successful year of the Nirmaan Science, Art and Craft Exhibition 2017 with the concept of – ‘Our Revolution- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replenish.’
Once again the young architects of our school dedicated participation portrayed their talents and new inventions through marvelous projects and displays. The day began with the guard of honour presented by our school and house captains followed by the inauguration ceremony performed by our ICSE topper Mst. Shikhar Hingar and the ISC Commerce topper Ms. Shayantani Das. They shared with us their journey and the important lessons they learned and thanked their parents and teachers for their support and encouragement to achieve excellence in life.
Henceforth the Nirmaan Exhibition was declared open which enthralled the parents and guests who were exhilarated and curious to view some masterpieces created by the students. All the exhibits were impressive and showcased the passion and hard work of the students. The breathtaking centerpiece by our ICS students and their friendly interaction with the guests was very intriguing.
The two-day event culminated delight and joy in all hearts.
