CISCE Zonal Karate Championship 2025

A Showcase of Discipline, Strength, and Spirit

On Thursday, 24th July 2025, our school had the immense honor of hosting the CISCE Karate Zonal Championship for Boys and Girls in the U-14, U-17, and U-19 categories. The event brought together a remarkable gathering of young martial artists, seasoned coaches, and dignitaries from the world of Karate, united by their shared passion for this disciplined and empowering art form.

The day began with a formal welcome, as our respected CEO and Principal, Dr. Seema Saini, greeted the dignitaries with saplings—symbols of growth, gratitude, and lasting values. This symbolic gesture set the tone for a day steeped in respect, tradition, and excellence.

The championship was graced by the presence of some of the most esteemed personalities in the Indian Karate community. We were deeply honored to welcome Hanshi Vispy Kapadia, the visionary Founder of All India Gojukai Karate-Do, whose name is synonymous with the growth and promotion of Karate across the country. Joining him was Shihan Shiraz Kapadia, the Director of the organization, known for his leadership and commitment to nurturing talent at the grassroots level. We were also privileged to host Shihan Keuree Patel, the Principal of All India Gojukai Karate-Do, whose dedication to technical excellence has been instrumental in shaping the standards of Karate training. Also present was Sensai Behram Kapadia, the organization’s Coordinator, who has played a crucial role in the smooth execution of numerous Karate events and training initiatives. Their presence brought immense pride and inspiration to all, especially the young competitors who had the rare opportunity to perform before such distinguished mentors.

The event was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the sacred ring puja, a traditional ritual to invoke blessings for safety, integrity, and the true spirit of Karate. This ceremonial beginning reflected the deep-rooted values and discipline that Karate instills.

Dr. Seema Saini then officially declared the championship open, addressing the audience with an inspiring message that emphasized Karate not merely as a sport, but as a lifelong discipline that shapes character, mental strength, and respect.

Following her address, Hanshi Vispy Kapadia shared his insights and experiences, urging the young Karatekas to pursue their journey with determination and humility. His words were a powerful reminder of the responsibility and honor that come with mastering a martial art.

The championship proceedings continued with Sensai Mayur Patole, Chief of the Technical Commission, outlining the updated rules and regulations, ensuring fair play and transparency. Then, Shihan Keuree Patel introduced the panel of referees and judges, and officially declared the tournament draws.

What followed was a day of electrifying Kumite (sparring) matches across all age categories. From swift footwork to sharp reflexes, and tactical thinking to disciplined aggression, each bout was a true display of the athletes’ training, focus, and fighting spirit. The mat witnessed incredible determination and mutual respect as participants competed with honor and passion.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, honoring the winners with medals and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances. The proud smiles and thunderous applause reflected the hard work behind every victory.
