Examination

Written examinations do serve the important purpose of testing what a child has learnt through the year. Nevertheless, at N. L. Dalmia High School, we also stress on behaviour, attendance and class performance. We ensure that final exam at the end of year alone does not become the deciding factor for judging the child’s whole year academic and non-academic performance. Therefore, we follow the system of averages that takes into consideration a child’s performance through the year and gives as much weightage to weekly/unit tests and half-yearly exams as to the final exams.

“Education isn’t about how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It’s being able to differentiate between what you know and what you don’t.”
