A person’s childhood, adolescence and high school days are unusually important phases in their lives, as they determine the quality of life ahead.
For the most part of my schooling, I went to a convent school in Bandra and shifted to NL Dalmia when I was in class 8. Dalmia turned my mirrors into windows. Back then (23 years ago), the focus of most schools largely used to be on academics and to a certain extend to sports. NL Dalmia was probably one of the fewer schools that saw the development of extracurricular as a key factor of education, way ahead of its times.

I want to remember N L Dalmia High School, my alma mater as a ‘generous mother’ which nourished our talents, quenched our thirst for knowledge and built our core values. The school helped me build a very strong foundation of ethics in my formative years which has helped me remain steadfast in my determination to do the right things in life, be it pursuing a Chartered Accountancy course or playing the role of a mother. The school provided me memories and friends worth cherishing forever and for this, I am thankful to the school forever.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my school and my teachers who inspired me to be my best all the time.
The school is imparting not just education but also essential life skills.
Most importantly, we were also taught to focus on the core humanitarian values which laid the solid foundation of life.
I want to specially thank Ms. Annie Michael for being one of the few great teachers out there and inspiring others with her greatness and simplicity.
Thank you to all the teachers out there!

I believe Dalmia School has given me the right blend of education, exposure and discipline which has allowed me to do well in my personal and professional life.
We had the privilege of having access to one of the best faculties who motivated us enough and disciplined us in early years of our life to strengthen our roots.

I have worked with companies like OBC and Kotak Bank & current work as Sr. Credit Manager, Abu Dhabi. On the personal front, I am happily married and blessed with a charming son. I owe my corporate growth and family bonding to the solid foundation of discipline and care built at Dalmia. The knowledge and experiences imparted by our teachers has shown me good light and I continue to be grateful to my alma mater.

The encouragement I have always received has helped me scale the mountains of success. In ups and downs, I saw success and failure but most importantly learned to get back on my feet and start running again. This strong foundation has helped me grow personally and professionally and pursue a career overseas with perseverance, commitment and hard work which I picked up from my alma mater and teachers. I am truly indebted to my school for instilling in me great confidence.

My school has played a pivotal role in helping me shape my future and career, during which I have worked on commercial, recreational, institutional, hospitality & industrial projects. I have had the opportunity to work on one of the biggest projects in Doha (32,00,000sqft of built-up area) which includes a four-star hotel, offices, residential, retail, healthcare over 6 levels of basement and metro which passes through the basement. This has all been possible with the strong values the school has instilled in me.

I am proud to be an ex-dalmian and want to to thank my school for giving me ethics and values. My personal and professional life are influenced by my traits like positive mental attitude, inquisitive nature, quest for exploring new things and places, dedication towards work and family and a strong belief in Karma which was imbibed into me during my schooling days. Good schooling makes you a better student, and shapes you well for a better future!! I am indebted to my school for my success in life.

Undoubtedly, my days at NLDHS built a strong foundation for my career. The school inspired me to learn and to be curious. This skill helped me take-on and tackle multiple challenges in my professional journey. A balance of curricular and extracurricular activities at school developed in me, discipline and planning skills to work diligently even while facing adversity. Even today, this rigor drives my pursuit of excellence in all endeavors. I have also made wonderful and helpful friends during my time at this school.

I consider myself extremely fortunate for the superior guidance and support of the teaching faculty at NLDHS throughout the formative years of my life. Our school inculcated in me a strong belief in the pursuit of excellence. The school’s non-compromising standards in academics, encouragement to always excel in activities like sports, debates, elocutions or quiz competitions enabled me to be a well-rounded individual. A special mention to the Surprise Test exam format which prepared us for the random curve balls life would throw our way. These strong foundations set by our school helped me become personally and professionally successful at a young age.

I am proud of being ex-Dalmian. NLDHS has given me a plethora of exceptional memories and lifelong learning for posterity. I am truly thankful to NLDHS for grooming my personality and helping me discover my innate potential

I have been working on promoting a subconscious learning approach for mathematics and entrepreneurship for over 75 Schools based in India, UAE and Nepal for the last 7 years. I started my first business when I was in Dalmia (Grade 8) and with the values instilled by our school, I have been in a position to take my startup in the top 50 Educational Ventures in India – to make a difference to the education system. As a Dalmian, confidence is in-built in me. I owe my current job profile to my school. The school has played a major role in making English my first language, which is why I am where I am. My communication is good is merely because Dalmia inculcated the habit of speaking English in me. I will forever be grateful.

It is my pleasure to have spent wonderful years, hat I have spent at N L Dalmia high school and I cherished the feeling of studying at an institute which focuses in career enhancement along with and development with the seamless mix of academics and extracurricular activities post-school, I went on to do a my masters in social work and worked in the field of anti-human trafficking in Mumbai. My job was to manage a project of adolescent daughters of sex workers to prevent the cycle of inter-generational prostitution. This encouraged me to pursue a degree in child development at Haifa University (Israel) and now am a part of another MA in International Community Development

I consider myself fortunate to have been a student of NL Dalmia High School. It was during my schooling that I discovered my fascination, interest and curiosity to explore the area of life science. I was taught by my teachers to be a part of the ‘today’ that created a more scientifically advanced ‘tomorrow’. I am grateful to have received the proper guidance from my school to shape my personality and make me who I am today.

I consider myself truly blessed to be a Dalmian – NLDHS provided me with a strong foundation to develop and explore my academic horizons. The holistic approach of the school helped to enhance and develop my overall personality. All that I have managed to accomplish today is because of my alma mater.

My Alma mater has played a significant role in strengthening my vision by mentoring me to be perseverant and diligent. It has built me with the confidence that one needs to face challenges in life and emerge successful.
