National Winner of 2018 Microsoft Office Specialist Exam – India Championships (MOS )

Flying High with Colorful wings…

We are overwhelmed with happiness and pride as Kartik Soneji of Grade XII has brought fame to our institute by winning the Sankalp Microsoft Office Specialist India Championships- National level, 2018. His tech savvy and steadfast goals have earned him national recognition. This has definitely raised the tide for other tech talent in the school to dream high and carve a niche in the world of technology.  The competition was conducted by Sankalp World Microsoft Championships in association with Veloces Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd and was held at REVA University, Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

Well done Kartik!! May all the success be yours!!

 

2018 ICT Junior India Championships (National Round)

Adding another golden feather in our cap….

We feel proud and honored to share that Mihika Khadolya of Grade VI has successfully bagged 6th position in the ICT Junior India Championships 2018 at the National Level. Her exceptional high score in Certiport’s IC3 Exam- Regional Round had motivated her in making it to the top 10 finalists of India. The competition was conducted by Sankalp World Microsoft Championships in association with Veloces Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd and was held at REVA University, Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

Congratulations Mihika!! ….That’s a magnificent accomplishment!!

 

International Winner – 6th iTHO 2017 (International Talent Hunt Olympiad 2017)

-6th iTHO 2017 (International Talent Hunt Olympiad 2017 ) conducted by Silver Zone Foundation, New Delhi  secured State Rank -1, International Rank -3. He has been awarded with a Trophy, Gold medal, a cheque  of Rs. 5000/- and a certificate.

-14th International Informatics Olympiad (iIO) 2017 –conducted by Silver Zone Foundation, New Delhi  secured State Rank -2nd, International Rank -3rd. He has been awarded with a Gold Medal Trophy + Pierre Cardin Pen Cheque of Rs. 5000/-.

-Also our School has been awarded with a trophy for securing overall 3rd rank Internationally in both the Olympiads.

My Social Responsibility (MSR)

Once again, our students have done us proud…..

NLDHS continued with our tradition of giving back to the society by extending help to the ‘Terry Fox Committee’ in their endeavour of supporting the TATA Memorial Hospital by collecting funds for research and also for bringing awareness to Mumbaikars about cancer amongst children.  The contribution received from the students and the proceeds from the Carnival 2017-18 were donated towards this great deed.

The students of N. L. Dalmia High School along with the Principal and teachers participated in the 20th Terry Fox Run conducted by the Terry Fox (India) Committee.

Since NLDHS believes in the ethos of giving back to the society and to add to the happiness and joy of continuing with our Social Responsibility, the students of N. L. Dalmia High School celebrated Christmas with homeless street children adopted by the Scots’ Kirk Church of St. Andrew and St. Columba.

The School and the students generously donated 190 Kg of food grains to the Church.

Yet another effort to sensitize our children to be empathetic to the society.

Crowning Achievements…

The British Council International School Award introduced online competition for all ISA Schools. The competition entailed shooting a video message for 60 seconds highlighting ‘how the impact of Internationalism brought about a change in the teaching learning process in your School and also how have the collaborative projects helped in enriching the learning experience of the students.’

With Great Pride, we would like to share that our School video entry was selected among the TOP 3 entries from more than 50 entries across the country.

On the pathway to Success-the International Phase….

The new academic session marks the beginning of another successful year ahead.

The British Council had organized a competition for Schools across the country to depict their initiative in merging traditions and culture with different countries.

We take in pride in sharing that out of more than 150 entries across the country we have been selected in the Top 20 best entries. The School has been appreciated by the British Council for its beautiful depictions and portrayals of the collaborative work with our partner School in U.K.

The School has always believed in the concept of Interactive Learning and that is the driving force behind pursuing a medium for International and global networking between Schools of India and Europe.(EUMIND).  Last year, we initiated this format of research focussed projects and received great accolades in all 8 categories.

This year, too we presented projects in 6 categories and were acknowledged ‘Award of Excellence’ for the Best Article 2016-2017. The categories we excelled in are: Hotel, Enterprise, Education/School, Religion/Charity & Health.

‘Exercitation of the Intellect’

Prave Coutinho, an ISC student of N. L. Dalmia High School, stood second in the “Vision 2020″ Essay writing competition amongst the 15 schools across Mumbai conducted by the Amity University on 3rd January, 2017.  His essay has been selected for the nationals.

Our Grade XI Student Nirmaan Chakraborty has participated in ASISC National Games 2016 hosted by the Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Region.  We are proud to share that he has bagged the Gold Medal for 4*100 meter Relay.

Adding to our glorified moments is yet another great achievement of our Grade 8th student Aamir Shaikh.  A versatile actor having intense passion for Direction is how Aamir is known among his peers.  He started his acting at the age of 7 and was featured in a couple of ads and TV shows.  It is his this confidence and passion that pushed him to venture into the field of direction.

He shot a short-film called ‘The Repentance’ which was appreciated and found it s place in the Filmingo International Short Film Festival.’

170 short films across the globe were handpicked for this festival.

International Laurels for N. L. Dalmia High School:

It is a moment of pride that the President and Members of all Mauritius Karate Federation and the Indian Ocean Karate Federation, in Collaboration with the Mauritius Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Mauritius Sports Council had invited us to this championship.  The Indian Contingent represented by Ms. Malvika Baijal, Ms. Milonee Tank, Ms. Navya Khanna and Mst. Aryan Surani participated at the 6th Indian Ocean Open Karate Championship at Mauritius.  This delegation brought laurel for the School by winning 4 medals in various categories.

Ms. Malvika Baijal of Grade 5 won Gold medal. Ms. Milonee Tank of Grade 6 won 1 Gold medal and silver medal each and Ms. Navya Khanna of Grade 6 won silver medal at the championship.

Winners of International English Olympiad:

We take immense pride in sharing with you our Outstanding Performers in the 6th INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH OLYMPIAD (IEO) held in the academic year 2015-16.

Over 34,000 schools from 1400 cities spread across 22 countries had registered for the WORLD’S BIGGEST OLYMPIAD EXAMS and millions of students appeared in them.

Amidst the millions of students, who participated, our students showcased a REMARKABLE performance by achieving both the TOP POSITIONS.

Mihika Khadloya bagged the 1st INTERNATIONAL RANK in the 6th IEO
Rene Vaz and Aaron Boodle Bagged the 2nd INTERNATIONAL RANK in the 6th IEO

Besides this, these students were also honoured with Merit Certificates and a gift worth Rs 1000/- along with Gold and Silver Medal respectively.

In all, from N.L.Dalmia High school, 102 students participated from all across sections.
