Activities by the School to ensure safety and hygiene for students

We strongly believe that to create a positive learning environment in our School, we do need to take utmost care to ensure school safety not only in the physical areas pertaining to student behavior environmental hazards but also technological threats.

Safety and security of our students is of Paramount importance for N. L. Dalmia High School. A Vaccination Drive in collaboration with MBMC was conducted for the students of age group 15 to 18  on 4th January, 2022 in the School premises.  A significant number of students belonging to the specified age group were successfully vaccinated. The over whelming response we have received from the parents is noteworthy.  The School places on record its gratitude to the Parents for their constant support and cooperation.

Some of the safety measures taken by us are

  • 24 hours manual vigilance
  • 251 CCTV at common areas and strategic locations with 18 DVRs.
  • Public announcement system (24X7)
  • Disaster management
    • 91 smoke detections alarms
    • 12 manual cell points
    • 9 hooters
    • 3 fire hydrant
    • Over 100 fire extinguishers have been installed in the school
  • Regular fire Audits are conducted
  • Fire drills are conducted monthly. The evacuation of all the students is completed within the stipulated time of 4.5 minutes.
  • Besides our regular PBAY No’s we have also installed unique numbers which are meant for special announcements during emergencies such as heavy rains, commotion in the city or any unforeseen events.
  • Cyberbullying & digital internet safety and security is a serious concern, hence we have installed firewall and activities software so that the students are debarred from using social sites.
  • Backup for two years are maintained for any contingency.
  • Dedicated personnel for monitoring the DVR is appointed on the campus.

Measures taken to promote hygiene on campus

Schools are a second home for the students where they spend quite a few hours. Hence it is mandatory for us to provide a hygienic environment and to ensure this, we practice the following hygienic measures on the campus:-

The School has taken voluntary and immediate action towards SOPs on sanitization, with Thermal imaging machine, Thermal temperature recorders, Sanitizing Booths, PPE kits, Sanitizers at all strategic places and the classrooms, Fumigation machine, metal detectors, placement of stickers regarding social distancing and hygienic washrooms. Regular sanitization of the frequently touched surfaces are undertaken. The initiatives taken by the School are not Govt driven, but due to our concern for safety and security of each one associated with the School.

All washrooms have been redesigned. We have installed sensotronic sensor faucet in washbasins for hygienic purposes.

Regular fumigation of the premises and surroundings are
undertaken.

  • Sanitizing on a daily basis
  • A housekeeping team consisting of 35 members (2 senior person and 33 full-time employees) is especially deployed to ensure cleanliness in the School.
  • Regular maintenance of the school equipment is taken care of by an efficient maintenance team of 10 senior persons and ancillary staff.
  • We have a health center infirmary with qualified attendants to handle regular health check-ups. They are also well equipped to provide first aid in emergencies.
  • The school has a tie-up with Bhakti Vedanta Hospital which is situated in the close vicinity of the school. The hospital is well equipped with modern facilities. The School has a Hon. doctor on board, who is available on call 24 x 7.
  • The school organized free medical health check-ups for its staff members in association with Health Spring India. Dr. Bhaskar Shetty, specialist provided free consultancy services to all.
  • The management of N L Dalmia High School has provided insurance policies free of cost to its faculty members, staff and students.

Every member of the N. L. Dalmia parivar (Campus) is covered under:

For Students:

  • An accident insurance policy of Rs. 5,00,000/-
  • A Mediclaim policy for Rs. 75,000/-

 For Faculty & Staff:

  • An accidental policy is upto Rs. 7,50,000/-
  • A Mediclaim policy beginning at from Rs. 1,00,000/- onwards –          upto Rs. 10,00,000/-
